Alternative to Minsk: Poland and Britain have developed a plan for the settlement of the conflict in the Donbas

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski has said that the British and Polish sides has developed an alternative option of negotiations on conflict settlement in the Donbass, however, the final decision remains with the Ukraine.

“We haven’t agreed on a new format,” – said Waszczykowski.

“We have hope for an opportunity to open a discussion about the new format of the permissions (the situation in the Donbas – ed.)”, – the Minister added.

He stressed that the decision rests with the Ukrainian authorities, in particular by President Petro Poroshenko and foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.

Klimkin said that the meeting marked the formal start of negotiations in a new format, “but it’s definitely the beginning of a new joint effort.”
