Avdeevka is not just a frontline city, this is the front. But despite the wounds on his stone body, the town has learned to survive, and it seems that all the world here wins the war. In the hospital during attacks childbirth had to be in the basement, by candlelight. Today Avdeevka, probably one of the worst places on earth where you can bear children. But there is a real baby boom.

“I don’t know whether this is a miracle, but give birth to those who already gave birth again, the fourth child. And this is a miracle, I guess. Stress has led to the fact that we have accounted for some of the women with infertility. Nothing helped, during the war, they got pregnant and already raising children at home”, – says head of obstetric Department of Avdiivka CRB Svetlana Khomchenko.

“Not only women, men also start hormonal factors, and pregnant women,” says obstetrician-gynecologist of the “First volunteer mobile hospital” Yevgeny Ladik.
