“Russia needed a provocation.” Poroshenko commented on the scandal around Samoilova

President Petro Poroshenko believes it is a fair ban on the entry of the Russian participant of “Eurovision” Yulia Samoilova, because she violated the rules of entry to the occupied Crimea.

He said this at a press conference in Riga, Interfax reported.

“The visit to Crimea Ukraine allows only across the administrative border of the Kherson region, the other method is a violation of the legislation of Ukraine, which entails sanctions. It is absolutely clear to the Russian side and the requirements are the same for all”, – said Poroshenko.

He added that Russia knows about these rules and made a conscious decision, relying on provocation.
