EU to give Ukraine another tranche of 600 million euros until the end of the year

The European Union will provide Ukraine with another EUR 600 million in macro-financial assistance until the end of 2017.

About it reports the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

“The third program of macro-financial assistance of the EU, which will be valid until the end of 2017, there is a total of providing Ukraine with three tranches in the amount of 600 million euros each, two of which have already received our state”, – stated in the message.

After the transfer of the second tranche yesterday, April 4, the total amount of funds provided by the European Union to Ukraine macro-financial assistance made up 2.81 billion euros.

The Finance Ministry stresses that this is the largest size of the financial assistance provided by the EU to third countries.

Meanwhile, the implementation of the Third program macro-financial assistance the EU began in 2015. The main goal of the program is to stabilize the economy and support broad-based structural reforms.

Recall, April 4 , the EU has transferred Ukraine 600 million Euro macro-financial assistance. Meanwhile, Poroshenko thanked the EU for the allocation of money. “I congratulate granting Ukraine 600 million Euro macro-financial assistance from the EU. It is a recognition of our progress on the path of reforms and evidence of continued support by the EU reforms in Ukraine”, – stated in the message on the social network.

Poroshenko also thanked the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis for this important decision.
