For 2017 in the Kiev subway will be some changes. In particular, residents of the capital are waiting for a change of fare and refusal tokens.
In an interview with TSN.ia has told the Deputy chief of the Kiev metro Dmitry Peklo and co-founder of “change Agents” Igor Sklyarevsky.
In addition, they announced the introduction of new information on the screens in subway cars.

“We are now in the process of implementing new information screens in the carriages. It already is on all three lines. You can see what will be the next station which to transplant them, or important objects as before they go, what the final,” said Peklo.
As for changing the fare system, the introduction of remote replenishment of travel cards in the subway, so it could be done from home and not have to stand in queues.
“Also we will have new machines with full banking functionality. This year we will start to accept payments with Bank cards and at the box office, and in vending machines. Perhaps it will be easier for people not to carry cash and pay by card. Together with the payment systems we already tested the service… How can you say to all not to disclose… let’s just Say it will be another solution with a contactless Bank card, which will provide additional service to passengers. Maybe it won’t need a transport map in principle”, – he added.
In turn, Peklo noted that capital metro is planning to abandon the tokens to the new year and in the next log with the updated fare collection system.
“We are actively working on the implementation of the pilot project to determine the choice of an alternative method of payment. If not a badge – then what? Since the token is extremely cheap media and had a large turnover, the only sane cost is analogous to the thermal paper, which will be applied, most likely, the QR code. These coupons will be printed in the machine, and you can change them directly in the turnstile,” said he.
