During inspections, the national Bank found 30 illegal currency exchangers
During the first three months of 2017, the employees of the national Bank continued validation of the structural units (exchange currency) non-Bank financial institutions. Such checked 260. And at the same time found 30 illegal exchangers.
“Information on the national Bank reports to law enforcement. While law enforcement officers received three responses to the responses to these communications”, – stated in the NBU.
The inspections were carried out in Kiev and 17 regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Lviv, Odessa, Poltava, Rivne, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Chernihiv.
We will remind, last year the national Bank conducted 362 inspections of currency exchange offices in 14 regions. In Kiev found then 39 illegal currency exchange points. And by the end of 2017 plan to test all area.
As of 1 April, the General license of the NBU that allows to engage in foreign exchange transactions, there are 29 non-Bank financial institutions and “Ukrposhta”. Now in Ukraine there are 2759 subdivisions non-Bank financial institutions.
