Bribe extorted 300 thousand dollars, was taken into custody by appointing almost 15 million UAH of the Deposit

Detained on a bribe of the official, who according to investigators is an active employee of NABOO, was taken into custody.

This was announced on his page on Facebook press Secretary of Yuri Lutsenko Larisa Sargan.

“At the request of the Prosecutor of Sumy region today, may 22, 2017, Zarechny district court of Sumy city chose a measure of restraint in form of detention for 60 days in Kiev, detained on a bribe in 150 thousand dollars to a law enforcement officer, which, according to the pre-trial investigation, is an employee of NABOO”, – she wrote.

According garfish, the court also appointed him an alternative to detention – bail in the amount of almost UAH 15 million.

“Another suspect was also detained for 60 days with the alternative of bail of 3 million hryvnia,” – she added.

Separately, the press service of the GPU, it is noted that the pre-trial investigation is made by investigative Department of SBU in the Sumy region, and procedural management is performed by Prosecutor’s office of Sumy region.

Currently, the complex of investigative and procedural actions to establish the circumstances of the criminal offense, in particular, verified information about that detainee was dismissed from the National anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

In turn, the head of the Bureau of Artem Sytnik confirmed that the detainee was in the Sumy region on suspicion of bribery former employee of NABOO Alexander Samawi quit, so as not coped with work, and said that prior to this he worked in the SBU.
