The Pentagon announced military forecast for Donbass in 2018
US military intelligence predicts that the Minsk agreement will not be completed within the next year, overscale fighting along the contact line in the Donbass will continue, with the simultaneous possibility of an escalation of violence by Russia.
This was stated by the Director of the defense intelligence Agency of the Pentagon, Vincent Stuart, writes UKRINFORM.
He noted that Russia “is unlikely to reject the destabilizing actions in the Donbas.” At the same time, Ukraine, obviously, also will not perform political elements of the Minsk agreement, while Russia does not fulfill its obligations regarding the establishment of security.

“Violence along the line of contact will probably be limited to the level of smaller fights, although Russia remained ready to escalation of the conflict”, – said the heads of intelligence of the Pentagon.
We will remind that earlier the evening of may 22 the Pro-Russian militants significantly increased fire activity in some areas at the contact line in the Donbas. In particular, they shelled the positions of Ukrainian military near the Survey, using “Grad”.
