Prosecutors took over the case of fugitive Kurchenko for the sale of coal from the occupied Donbass

Main military Prosecutor’s office on Saturday, June 17, launched an investigation into the implementation of the illegally extracted in the occupied territory of coal of the anthracite under the leadership of oligarch-fugitive Serhiy Kurchenko.

This was reported by press Secretary of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Larisa Sargan on the page in Facebook.

According to her, the actions of bodies, officials and other persons of a number of business entities are separate characteristics of a criminal offense under part 3 St. 258-5 of the criminal code (financing of terrorism).

“Many websites posted materials, from which it becomes clear that under the overall guidance of Kurchenko’s office and other officials of several entities within 2017 on the territory of Luhansk and Donetsk regions are purchasing illegally mined coal namely anthracite, wrongful captured terrorist organizations “DND” and “DND” the mines,” said Gar.

She added that in the future, with the assistance of the enterprises engaging in the illegal exploitation of captured listed terrorist organizations rolling stock of PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”, the coal export to the territory of the Russian Federation, where in the future it will implement, including abroad.

Thus obtained funds in especially large sizes are available to terrorists who then used in their terrorist activities.
