Poroshenko explained the principles of the “model Rules” to resolve the conflict in the Donbas
The President of France Emmanuel macron suggested that the leaders of the countries participating in the “Normandy format” to agree on concrete practical steps towards implementation of the Minsk agreements.
This was announced by Deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Konstantin Eliseev, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

“Today, it is agreed that in the near future, preferably before the summit (7-8 July) to hold a telephone conference of the leaders of the Normandy format with participation of heads of the OSCE SMM. It is expected that the conversation the leaders should be substantive, detailed, prepared, and aimed at effectively addressing the pressing problems in the field of security in the Donbass,” – said Elisha.

He said that we are talking about the preparation of an appropriate set of priority issues that could be presented to the heads of the “Norman Quartet.” Among the list of these issues is how to achieve full compliance with the ceasefire regime, to provide unhindered access of the OSCE SMM to all of the temporarily occupied districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, to ensure the safety of international observers, the withdrawal of the parties and the withdrawal of heavy equipment, to create conditions for the withdrawal of Russian troops and armament from the territory of the occupied Donbas to release hostages.
“That is the so-called “formula Rules” provides for joint purposeful work, through small but concrete steps to ensure full implementation of the Minsk agreements. While there is an understanding that the solution to the key issues in T. SV. the security package of the Minsk agreements is paramount,” explained Eliseev.
“At the same time, he (macron – ed.) acknowledged that the need to give new momentum to the channel negotiation process, to bring him out of a state of stagnation. The President also Makron is determined to reach a specific result,” – said the Deputy head of the presidential administration.
We will remind, on June 26 President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with the head of France Emmanuel Macron. The lion’s share of the talks was devoted to the settlement of the situation in the Russian-occupied Eastern Ukraine.
