Defense industry goes 6 billion hryvnia Yanukovych, Turchinov
The national security Council and defense of Ukraine recommends to spend 6 billion confiscated from former officials since the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych on government security and defense. This was stated by the Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov at the meeting of the NSDC.
“The decision on the beginning of financing of the state budget at the expense of confiscated financial resources,” he said. “Of these funds under the special Fund budget is proposed to Fund the security sector and defense by 6 billion UAH”, – said Turchinov.

According to him, this amount includes the purchase and development of modern weapons, and the manufacture and purchase of ammunition. Another billion hryvnia will be spent on housing for servicemen.
In addition, the NSDC Secretary announced the project on the increase of the budget of Ukrainian defense by 3 billion UAH. A proposal will direct the Cabinet of Ministers.
