NBU found in Ukraine, another 84 illegal currency exchanger
In the first half of 2017 national Bank of Ukraine has identified 84 illegal currency exchanger. In General, the regulator checked the 503 exchange currency.
Most illegal exchangers found in Ivano-Frankivsk – 29. In Kiev and Zaporozhye region – 18, in Lviv – 8, in the Kiev region – 5, in Kirovohrad region – 3.
“Information about illegal exchange offices, the national Bank reports to law enforcement. The most effective cooperation with law enforcement bodies of Kiev and Kiev region, which in the NBU operational reports on measures taken to curb the activities of such centers,” – said the national Bank.
We will remind, the regulator began regular inspections of exchangers from September 2016. In the past year made 362 check in 14 regions, and by the end of this year to check out all the rest.
As of July 1, 2017, the General license of the NBU that allows to engage in foreign exchange transactions, there are 29 non-Bank financial institutions and the national postal operator “Ukrposhta”. In Ukraine was 3371 separate subdivision of non-banking financial institutions.
