Polozov filed a petition to review the ban of the Mejlis in Crimea

Lawyer Nikolai Polozov has submitted to the Kremlin-controlled Supreme court of the annexed Crimea the petition to review the decision on the ban of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.

He said this on his page in Facebook by posting a scanned copy of the first page of the document.

“Today (18 July – approx.ed.) I filed a petition to review the decision to ban Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people in connection with the issuance of the Order on the application of provisional measures International court of justice”, – he said.

As noted, the complaint was filed “on again opened circumstances”.

We will remind, on September 26, 2016 the so-called “Supreme court of the Crimea” has recognized the Crimean Tatar Mejlis an extremist organization and banned its activities in Russia. Subsequently, this decision was confirmed by the Supreme court of the Russian Federation.
