“The threat is the same”. Poroshenko assured that Ukraine would maintain “brotherly Georgian people”

Ukraine and Georgia have common threats, but in difficult times can count on each other.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Tbilisi at a press briefing with President of Georgia Georgi Margvelashvili, the press service of the head of state.

“100 years ago, we lost independence, both Ukraine and Georgia. And the responsibility should be our actions now in order to preserve and protect the Ukrainian and Georgian sovereignty, Ukrainian and Georgian territorial integrity, Ukrainian and Georgian independence. To defend our freedom and protect our democracy,” he said.

“The threat to our freedom, independence and democracy are one and the same. And we will not allow anyone to dictate the future of our great nation. And that makes us much closer”, – said Poroshenko.
