The Belarusian President assured Poroshenko that Belarus will never use as a springboard for aggression against Ukraine. “You can count on us, and we will do everything we can for the sake of peace and stability in our native Ukraine”, – he said.

Lukashenko assured that he is ready to do all that he will instruct the presidents of Ukraine and Russia Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Putin for assistance in resolving the conflict in the Donbas. In particular, he cited the example of the meeting in Minsk for talks.
“We do not claim any laurels. And I have just said. What could be laurels when people are dying? Anyone any laurels will not do. Therefore, you, Ukrainians, should know that you have close relatives who live a bit further North from you but do not differ from you. And if you find it difficult, in any way we can, we will always help,” – said Lukashenko.

“We can not and will not observe a gross violation of the Minsk agreements. Every death of the Ukrainian military should not remain without a tough response”, – said Poroshenko.
The Lukashenko, Ukrainian President has called a good friend of Ukraine and thanked for the support that “we feel not in words but in deeds.”
Poroshenko also stressed that the Minsk agreements are for today only and non-alternative instrument for conflict de-escalation and de-occupation of Ukrainian territory. “On Monday (24 July) held telephone conversations in the Normandy format, and I will require immediate support ceasefire along the line of contact,” he said.

Commenting on the success of the business forum, which began simultaneously with the summit talks, Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Belarusians, Russians and Ukrainians are the “core of civilization” in this part of the European continent.
Mutual trade between Ukraine and Belarus in comparison with the previous year increased by 26%, and now countries are planning to reach the level of 35%. “We see serious and real growth prospects. Set the task in the near future to achieve $ 5 billion of our mutual trade turnover,” – said Poroshenko.

Lukashenko, in turn, has expressed hope that in two years the trade turnover between Belarus and Ukraine will reach $ 8 billion, as it was before. “Ukraine is one of our priority markets for Belarusian goods and Belarusian market for Ukrainians. For Ukraine Belarus is the fourth largest trading partner, and Ukraine is Belarus ‘second”, – he said.
In particular, at negotiations it was agreed to expedite the creation of new cooperative enterprises in various industries. “Today there is interest in creating joint ventures. I mean the aviation, transport and agricultural machinery”, – said Poroshenko.
“We’ll be together – we do not hide from anyone – to produce any products that are in demand in international markets. Not only in Belarus and Ukraine”, – said Lukashenko.
