Klimkin called the scandal with Siemens “serious lesson” for business

Management of Siemens believed the promises of the Kremlin that the German turbine will be delivered to the occupied Crimea and as a result, the company has received irreparable damage.

This is stated in the article, foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, reports “European true”.

“The Kremlin regime is now openly laughing at how easily you can sew in fools eager for big money by representatives of European business law-abiding business, built on trust, respect and values,” the article says.

The Minister said that Ukraine has warned Siemens, the German Federal government and European institutions and pointed to the hole in the sanctions regime.

“We listened, sought to prevent crime. And many of such cases there could be avoided. But in the case of Siemens management refused to see the obvious things,” he said.

Klimkin said that Ukraine will demand from Siemens, the German government and agroinstitute to conduct a public investigation and punishment of all accomplices.

“For many businesses this scandal will be a serious lesson for the future: “the gambler” will never become partners with which to deal. The Kremlin cannot be trusted,” said the Minister.

We will remind, on 11 July it became known that Siemens has filed a lawsuit against the company “Technopromexport” for the supply of turbines in the Crimea. Earlier in the company declared that the Peninsula was taken at least two of the four installations that were set for the project in Taman. Also a defendant in the suit is the company “Siemens Gas Turbine Technology”.

After that, the Russian media reported that in St.-Petersburg employees of FSB have detained the General Director of company “Power machines” of the Novel, which, according to preliminary data, suspected of divulging state secrets. At his workplace and home were searched, then Director of “Power machines” was questioned and released under recognizance not to leave.

According to the investigation, Roman Filippov “informed outsiders of documents containing confidential information”.

The company “Power machines” together with the German company created the “Siemens Gas Turbine Technology”, which was developed gas turbine SGT5-2000E. Later the turbines were delivered to the occupied Crimea company “Tekhnopromexport”, although the sanctions prohibit Siemens to do this.

Subsequently, the Board of Directors of the company “Power machines” has sent his resignation Filippova.

On 21 July it became known that Siemens stopped the supply of power equipment of Russian government-controlled clients for the fact that all four gas turbines, delivered in the summer to plant in Taman, was wrongfully removed in the Crimea.
