In Canada, the launch of the free trade agreement with Ukraine is considered a priority

Start effective free trade with Ukraine is a priority for the Ministry of international trade of Canada.

This was told by the special assistant to the Minister of international trade of Canada Marc-andré Puri, writes UKRINFORM.

“We are very pleased that she will enter into force very soon,” said Puri.

He added that the Minister will advance in its work of canadian-Ukrainian interests.

The free trade agreement between Canada and Ukraine was signed on 11 July last year during the visit of Justin Trudeau in Kiev. It comes into effect on 1 August this year. After that Canada will immediately abolish tariffs on 99.9% of Ukrainian imports. Ukraine also canceled 86% duties on imports from Canada, in the 7 years leading customs policy parity.
