Prices on young vegetables broke the record
Summer is the season of cheap vegetables, but not in Ukraine. This year the prices of products of the new harvest beat all records.
Compared to last year, new potatoes, cabbage and carrots have risen as much as 5-6 times. In June last year Ukrainians bought potatoes in an average of 2 UAH 55 kopecks., and this year it was worth the price of 19 UAH per kilogram.
According to analysts of “APK-inform: vegetables and fruits”, agricultural products for the year became more expensive by 23%. Cabbage and carrots rose in price by about 4 UAH. Beetroot and onion give the hostess this year at 3 UAH more.
Now the prices of vegetables and fruit began to fall due to active harvest.
