Because of Medvedev’s visit to occupied Crimea, the Ukrainian foreign Ministry sent a note of protest to Russia

The foreign Ministry expressed strong protest in connection with another uncoordinated with Ukraine visit of the Russian delegation, headed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in the occupied Crimea.

This is stated on the MFA website.

The Russian foreign Ministry sent a corresponding note of protest. Ukrainian diplomats have repeatedly stressed the inadmissibility of uncoordinated with Ukraine stays Russian officials in the sovereign territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, which includes the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol.

“The Ukrainian side considers the mentioned visit and the other “visits” of Russian officials from the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol a grave violation of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, cynical and defiant disregard of the Russian party of the generally recognized norms of international law”, – stated in the message.

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine declares that the responsibility for these and other violations is vested in the Russian Federation as the state-occupier in accordance with international law, its officials, and illegal “bodies of the Crimean authorities” and their representatives who take illegal decisions and committing illegal acts.

Recall that earlier the foreign Ministry of Ukraine responded to the conclusion of the occupiers activist Baluja in the Crimea.
