The Ukrainian banking system is still not profitable, but the amount of the loss has decreased 42 times
During January-July the Ukrainian banking system showed a net loss totaling 223 million. This is 41.5% less than in the first seven months of last year.
Such data are the national Bank of Ukraine, UNIAN reports.
The income of banks for January-July amounted to 101,624 billion, almost unchanged compared to the same period of the previous year, while expenses decreased by 9,027 billion or 8.1% to 101,846 billion.
In July of solvent banks received 1.43 billion UAH of profit.
We will remind, last year the banking system of Ukraine has updated the historical maximum loss, receiving a negative result at 159 billion. Given the insolvent banks loss of the banking system of Ukraine last year amounted to 160,143 billion.
Earlier it was reported that in Ukraine, every fifth Bank unprofitable.
