Trump congratulated Poroshenko on Independence Day
The President of the United States Donald trump congratulated the Ukrainian head Petro Poroshenko on the 26th anniversary of Independence.
“From the day of proclamation of independence of Ukraine 24 August 1991 and especially after the revolution of Dignity the United States has always supported her ambition to become a truly European country”, – quotes the press service Poroshenko, the words of the American leader.
Trump also stressed that the United States will continue to support the aspirations of Ukraine, and also work together with other like-minded people to restore the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The US President conveyed his sincere greetings and wishes, stressing that Independence Day is a special time to celebrate progress already achieved, despite the still existing challenges ahead.
We will remind, on August 24 will be held a military parade for Independence Day. Participation in this parade will take over 3,600 Ukrainian military. Also on the main street of Kiev for the first time, will the military units of partner countries: UK, Georgia, Canada, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland and the United States, followed by groups Latvia, Romania and Estonia.
To Ukraine there will arrive Ministers of 11 countries, among which the Pentagon chief James Mattis.
