Russia sent to the UN a draft resolution on the peacekeepers in the Donbas
Russia gave the United Nations a draft resolution on placing peacekeeping mission in the Donbas.
This was announced by Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, reports TASS.

“Today we have submitted a corresponding draft resolution to the President of the Security Council [tekeda alemu] and UN Secretary-General [Antonio Guterres]. I hope that in the near future it will be circulated to the members of the Board,” he said.
According to the Russian diplomat, soon the experts of the member countries of the UN Security Council will study the text of the resolution, and next week, after the return of the permanent representatives of Ethiopia, will begin the main phase of the negotiations.

As you know, Putin today, September 5, China said that it supports presence of UN peacekeepers in the Donbass. In his opinion, they should guarantee the security of the OSCE mission. In addition, the head of the country-occupier believes that the introduction of the peacekeeping contingent should occur in coordination with the leaders of terrorists “LNR” and “DNR”.
The foreign Ministry stressed that Putin and his statement that he wants to distort the idea of the peacekeeping mission and present aggression in the Donbas internal conflict of Ukraine. The diplomats also recalled that in 2015 the head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has officially sent to the UN request to deploy peacekeeping operations, but Russia as a state aggressor constantly sabotaged the proposals of Ukraine, refusing to consider the appeal to the UN security Council and even claimed that the treatment was not.
Earlier it was reported that the President Petro Poroshenko plans in the coming months to submit to the UN General Assembly the idea of deployment of peacekeeping mission in the Donbass.
During preliminary telephone conversations of the leaders of the “Normandy format”, he stressed on the need for the introduction in the Donbass UN peacekeeping mission with the mandate of the UN security Council.
