Ukraine handed over to the UN a draft resolution on the deployment of peacekeepers in the occupied Donbas
The Ukrainian delegation in the headquarters of the United Nations in new York recently referred to partners from the UN security Council its draft resolution on the placement of peacekeepers in the Donbas.
This was announced by Deputy head of presidential Administration Konstantin Eliseev, reports UNIAN.

According to him, the Ukrainian side handed over to its partners in the UN security Council its resolution on the deployment of peacekeepers in 2016.
“Unfortunately, at that time it did not cause an appropriate reaction from our partners, since the Russian Federation took negativists position,” – said Elisha.
“On behalf of the President, the updated draft resolution was a few days ago transferred to partners in the security Council. Of course, we will continue to work”, – said the Deputy head of AP.
Also, according to him, it is very important that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will go to new York to participate in UN General Assembly and the summit of the UN security Council.

Recently, the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has declared, that supports introduction of UN peacekeepers to the occupied territory of Donbass, however, these forces should only be on the boundary line.
The foreign Ministry stressed that Putin issued a statement wants to distort the idea of the peacekeeping mission and present aggression in the Donbas internal conflict of Ukraine. The diplomats also recalled that earlier, the head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has officially sent to the UN request to deploy peacekeeping operations, but Russia as a state aggressor constantly sabotaged the proposals of Ukraine, refusing to consider the appeal to the UN security Council and even claimed that the treatment was not.
Poroshenko plans in the coming months to submit to the UN General Assembly the idea of deployment of peacekeeping mission in the Donbass. During preliminary telephone conversations of the leaders of the “Normandy format”, he stressed on the need to introduce it in the Donbass.
Russia also gave the United Nations a draft resolution on the placement of the peacekeeping mission in the Donbas.
