Ukraine closer to the adoption of a US decision on providing lethal weapons – Deputy Prime Minister

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic integration Ivanna klympush-Tsintsadze noted that Ukraine is close to a decision United States to provide lethal defensive weapons.

She said this in an interview with “Voice of America”, writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.

“I certainly would not call any dates as to when it will be finally decided on granting Ukraine lethal defensive weapons from the United States,” said klympush-Tsintsadze.

“However, how we negotiate, how is the dialogue, I would say that we came very close to making this decision, the United States, which for us will mean the opportunity to better protect the lives of our defenders in the East and, in addition, to raise the price of attack of the Russian Federation against Ukraine,” she said.

Vice Prime Minister stressed that the decision on granting Ukraine lethal weapons that will ultimately be a political decision of the US authorities, and now “obviously internally weigh all the “pros” and “cons” for this decision, and “there is an analysis of how Ukraine is ready to high-quality treatment with high-tech weapons and to control,” even from a purely technical point of view.
