The national Council on television and radio broadcasting demands from Italian TV World Fashion Channel Europa S. R. L. to remove from its website a map of where the Crimea is annexed to Russia is related.
This was reported by the press service of the national Council.
“On the website of the TV companies recorded the fact of placing a card of the Russian Federation, which covers the territory of the annexed Autonomous Republic of Crimea”, – stated in the message.

It is noted that this contradicts the first paragraph of article 28 of the law of Ukraine “On information” and article 7 of the European Convention on transfrontier television, as it is aimed at the incitement of hatred and violation of territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Therefore, the national Council turned to television with the requirement to remove inaccurate map.
“Otherwise, the national Board will have grounds to consider documented violations of the legislation as a hostile attitude to the Ukrainian audience and the state of Ukraine as a whole”, – stressed in the national Council.
If the broadcaster does not comply with the requirements of the regulator, may be terminated by the broadcast of the program “World Fashion Channel” on the territory of Ukraine.
