Schizophrenic position: Klimkin commented on the Russian resolution on peacekeepers
Russia is trying, including by their “peace” proposals, to freeze the conflict in the Donbass, to make it their colony through which to destabilize the whole of Ukraine.
This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin in the air of one of Ukrainian TV channels, UKRINFORM writes.
“We by no means want to freeze this conflict, because it needs Russia by definition. The whole logic of Russia’s actions is that through the occupied Donbass, through the colony of Russia in the Donbass, try to work on us and to destabilize us. Therefore, even this Russian schizophrenic proposal to protect the OSCE at the expense of peacekeepers ( that is, to guard against Russia, because who else can influence them) – also contributes only to the freezing of the conflict. As the placement of peacekeepers only on the contact line since it’s actually just creating a new line”, – said Klimkin.

However, the Minister added that the Russian draft resolution had not received any support in the UN security Council. “In relation to the Russian resolution, have not started anything except a formal expert consultation, And that one round just to react. On this hook we will not fall”, – he added. In the opinion of the Minister, to make Russia prior to the introduction of real and effective peacekeeping mission in the Donbas may be more political pressure and economic sanctions by partners of Ukraine.
