Poroshenko explained how to get Russia to agree to UN peacekeepers in the Donbass
The support of the international community resolutions on the placement on the Donbass UN peacekeepers will not leave a chance of Russia to veto it.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, informs UKRINFORM with reference to CBC News.
“When Russia illegally annexed the Crimea and invaded my country, it completely destroyed the entire postwar security system. If Russia is the only state that would oppose peace – the Russians will be very difficult to explain why,” – said Poroshenko.
According to him, such actions of the Kremlin will indicate the acceptance of the fact of occupation of Donbass.

“In this situation, the refusal to support a peacekeeping operation will be the recognition that the Russian army occupied the territory. In this case, we turn to the international court, the UN and Russia to recognize responsible for military conflict”, – said Poroshenko.
In his opinion, the UN peacekeepers on the Ukrainian-Russian border would create the conditions for reintegration of Donbass.
“If we rossbrook Russian paramilitary group and return these areas law and order, you will be able to hold free and fair elections and reintegrate these territories back to Ukraine”, – said the President.
