At the PACE session in Strasbourg, the Czech President miloš Zeman has invited Ukraine to legitimize the annexation of Crimea by financial compensation from Russia.
“Crimea is annexation, without a doubt. It is a finished work (fait accompli). In my opinion, will be some compensation for Ukraine – or in a financial form or in oil and gas”, – he stressed.
According to Zeman, if Ukraine does not agree to compensate, will start the “European war”. According to him, war is inevitable in the case of a continuing effort to return the Crimea.
The scandalous statement of the President of Czech Republic angered the members of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, reports European truth. During his speech, the Czech President, none of the MEPs expressed their objection.

The people’s Deputy of Ukraine, Vice-President of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe George Legwinski believes that after the scandalous statements of the Czech President about the Crimea such provocations may occur in the future. He stated this on the sidelines of the PACE fall session in the commentary, which was broadcast channel Newsone.

Perebiynis also noted that the statement of Zeman also contradicts the official position of the Czech government.
