President Petro Poroshenko talked on the phone with the liberated Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar public figures – political prisoner Akhtem Chilgoza and Deputy Chairman of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi by Umarovi, who are now in Turkey.

“Millions of Ukrainians, who fought, prayed for Your liberation, for them it is an extremely happy day,” the President said.

“I believe that today You gave hope not only to those who fought for your liberation, and all Crimean Tatars – the truth will always prevail, and that we still return the Crimea. And that Ukraine will recover and we’ll be together”, – said Poroshenko.

He added: “I congratulate you with freedom, because freedom will be when we will together with our Crimean Tatars in Crimea. That would be real freedom. Now this is very important, but the intermediate stage of our struggle”.

“Dear Mr. Ahtem, I am very glad to hear from you and I’m happy with all the Ukrainian people that we have the opportunity, finally, to welcome you with the release. And, of course, that this is not the final feast, because the final celebration we will have when we liberate the Crimea. And the entire Crimean Tatar people and all the inhabitants of the Crimea will be finally on the loose in Ukraine,” asked Petro Poroshenko to Akhtem chigusa.

“I am very happy that my agreement with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan (net – ed). We could not disclose this arrangement. But I was informed by Mustafa and ASU and our partners that we are in the next few days waiting for this (release of Akhtem chigusa, and Ilmi Umerov – ed.). And luckily it happened,” he said.

The President inquired about the health status of Akhtem chigusa, and Ilmi Umerov and noted that in Kiev, they will be able to pass a full medical examination and treatment.

Ahtem Chiygoz thanked the President for the efforts made for them by Ilmi Mirovym dismissal.

He also expressed hope that the meeting with the head of state in Kiev when they Ilmi by Umarovi will return to Ukraine.
