Sytnik told about the problems because of the scandalous amendments to the criminal procedure code Lozovoy
The NACB Artem Sytnik said that got acquainted with the changes of the Criminal procedure code and saw “great risks” because of the amendments of the people’s Deputy Andrey Lozovoy.
He said this during a report to the NEB in the first half of 2017 at a meeting of the anti-corruption Committee of the Verkhovna Rada.
Matios called changes in the code of criminal procedure, “criminal” and urged not to sign them
“She’s (edit – Ed.) not spelled out in this editorial, as it was presented at the meeting of Parliament, but I think a huge problem from it will not only in the anti-corruption Bureau, but also in other divisions. For example there is an interesting situation when the investigator is forced to look only at the legal address of the authority where there is an investigative unit organized. So not all departments are legal entities and in fact, it would block the work of special investigative units”, – he told.
According to him, it is possible to translate issues of the expertise in the court. In particular, if it was cold-blooded murder, and the investigator describes the corpse, he needs the data of the medical examiner, to organize the first version.
“And he can only get them in 5 days, because the regulations of consideration of a question in court about the appointment of the examination – 5 days. And such changes there are many. I hope these problems will be eliminated because they are key not only for us,” – said Sytnik.
