Yelchenko, Hayley and Walker discussed the possibility of UN peacekeepers in the Donbass
Heads of permanent missions of Ukraine and the USA at the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko and Nikki Haley, as well as the US special envoy to Ukraine Kurt Volker discussed the prospects for the introduction of the UN mission in the East of Ukraine.

At the same time, Kurt Volker also posted a message on its official Twitter account, where he expressed satisfaction with the negotiations.
“Thank you Nikki Haley for the reception, as well as Vladimir Yelchenko for a discussion of the role of the UN in the conflict resolution process. The consent of the host country is vital,” – said the representative of the American administration.
Recall. previously, Kurt Volker said about the intention to meet on November 13 with Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov to discuss the situation in Eastern Ukraine. According to him, the parties discuss including a question on the introduction in the Donbass UN peacekeeping mission.
Recall, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the Alliance supports the idea of placing peacekeeping missions throughout the conflict in the Donbas, including beyond the control of Ukraine’s border with Russia. The requirement on the work of the UN peacekeeping mission in the entire occupied territory of the Ukrainian Donbass, in the first place on this stretch of the border with Russia, is a prerequisite of Kiev to the mission and Western partners support it.
