NBU opposed to “Ukrposhta” acquired Bank and provide financial services

The national Bank do not support the idea of the state “Ukrposhta” by the Bank or otherwise to provide financial services.

“The position of the National Bank remains unchanged: the state’s share in the banking system should decrease. Therefore, the national Bank does not support creation of new state banks or buying banks and state companies”, – reported to “the Ukrainian news” the press-service of the regulator.

In “Ukrposhta” said that considering three scenarios for the development of financial services.

The first scenario – the law (NBU and Ministry of Finance opposed the bill No. 6601, which “Ukrposhta” were granted the right to provide banking services); the second scenario – the purchase of the Bank; the third scenario – a strategic partnership with the Bank.

We will remind, for the first nine months of this year, a loss of “Ukrposhta” amounted to 416 million UAH. The company provides more than 50 types of services in almost 12 thousand outlets across the country. The staff of the company counts 70 thousand employees, of which 33 thousand postmen, 13 thousand – postal operators.
