Dissatisfaction with the EU anti-corruption may affect bezveze with Ukraine

The European Union can reconsider the visa-free regime with Ukraine because of dissatisfaction with how Kiev is fighting corruption, says TSN.16:45.

In the comments of the TSN Executive Director of “Transparency international Ukraine” Yaroslav Yurchyshyn noted that dissatisfied with the progress of reforms, the EU could close the borders or for all Ukrainians, or only for certain guilty officials.

“Now the Europeans have criticized the Prosecutor General, the Prosecutor’s office. Yes, it may be revised the terms of the plan of visa liberalization, that is, the question may arise about the cancellation of the visa regime. I really hope they will choose some other mechanisms – for example, personal sanctions of prohibition of entry into the EU is those who hinder the fight against corruption. Or the freezing of their assets,” – said yurchishin.

We will remind, Washington has also expressed a very critical reaction to the scandals to undermine anti-corruption efforts in Ukraine.
