Groysman asked the EU to support the development of the gas market in Ukraine

During talks with the Vice-President of the European Commission on Energy Union maroš Šefčovič in Brussels Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman declared that counts on support of development of the Ukrainian market of gas.

Official plans in the future to use for trading natural gas exchange, the press service of the government. Groysman called the move the next stage of development of the gas market in Ukraine.

During the meeting the sides also touched upon the issues of implementation of energy efficiency projects, namely EU funding of the Ukrainian Fund of energy efficiency, unbundling (separation by types of activities) of the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, the work of the National regulator of the electricity market and public services. Discussed the global issue of integration of the Ukrainian energy market into the European one.

Also Groysman thanked maroš Šefčovič for the already done work together.

“I would like to acknowledge the efforts of the EC to assist in the negotiations to attract international companies to the consortium to manage the Ukrainian GTS, which has proven its reliability and ability to provide uninterrupted transit of gas,” – said the Prime Minister.

Earlier it was reported that Goshenite took three licenses for oil and gas production in the Poltava region in the NAC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”. Thus, the company now, not a single permit to develop oil and gas prospect in the free territory of Ukraine.
