Militiamen detained Saakashvili

Recall, December 5 in the morning colleagues, Saakashvili stated that the policy in the apartment unknown knocked the door. After that policy withdrew from the house and put him in a blue Volkswagen minibus, but his supporters blocked the vehicle and was not allowed to take out Saakashvili. Subsequently, they broke down the door and he got out of the car. With a column of Saakashvili’s supporters came to Parliament.

In the SBU said that it had carried out the detention in the framework of criminal proceedings opened under part 1 of article 256 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (promotion of members of criminal organizations). The sanction of article provides imprisonment for the term from three to five years.

Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko released a recorded conversation of Saakashvili and oligarch of the “family” of Yanukovych Sergey Kurchenko. They agreed to cooperate.

Lutsenko also called on Mikheil Saakashvili to come to the investigators within 24 hours. After this period, the politician will come again the security forces.

Police 6 Dec tried to storm the tent camp near the Parliament, but met with resistance from activists. As a result of opposition from both parties there are victims. The police said that together with SBU held events for search and detention of Saakashvili. However, they failed to carry out the operation.

On December 6, the police officially announced Saakashvili wanted.
