Poroshenko stressed the inadmissibility of political interference in the work of anti-corruption bodies.

“No danger of political interference in the activities of anti-corruption institutions I will not allow. On the contrary, I believe that it is necessary to expedite the purpose of the audit, it is necessary to ensure effective protection of any political interference of politicians in the work of the NEB and the politicization of the work of all law enforcement and their desire to influence policy. I believe this is the right approach,” he said while interacting with the media after talks with Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite.

The President emphasized that during the anti-corruption bodies in Ukraine, from the beginning of their creation, neither he nor the authorities did not interfere in their work. He also noted the importance of providing information about the work of anti-corruption authorities after the completion of the investigation, and not before, “because there is the constitutional principle of presumption of innocence.”
