Mikheil Saakashvili during a break in meeting of Pechersky court said that a hunger strike for four days and plans to hold on this week.

A break in the court session ended, after which the attorneys gave the judge a statement about taking Saakashvili on bail of people’s deputies, among which in particular, Yulia Tymoshenko, Oleksandr Opanasenko, Yuri Derevyanko, Pavel Kostenko, Natalia Novak, Vitaly kupriy Ivan Krulko, Dmitry Dobrodomov, Alena Shkrum, Igor Lutsenko. The judge has added them to the case.

Also, the lawyers filed a new application – on the withdrawal of already group of prosecutors. According to the explanation of the defenders of Saakashvili, the evidence of the prosecution was gathered illegally.

Let’s remind, that Saakashvili on the morning of 11 December was taken to the Pechersky court, which should determine the measure of restraint.

Saakashvili is accused of assisting a criminal group under article 256 of the Penal code. He faces from 3 to 5 years behind bars.

Earlier, Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko has published a conversation recording of Saakashvili and oligarch of the “family” of Yanukovych Sergey Kurchenko. They agreed to cooperate.

Police detained Saakashvili late on the evening of 8 December and taken to the detention facility of the SBU in the Askold lane.
