Saakashvili: an event at the October Palace, a well-planned provocation

The leader of the “Movement of new forces,” Mikheil Saakashvili said that most of the people who are involved in the storming of the October Palace, was in Balaklava and none of them is detained.

He declared it on air of TV channel ZIK.

“Today we made a statement, in particular to the international community that the current event under the October Palace is a well-planned provocation. Its purpose was to discredit the peaceful protest, after all, today was another peaceful demonstration,” said Saakashvili.

He recalled that “the Movement of new forces” dissociates itself from the assault of the October Palace. “We believe that there should be no calls to storm the building. I quietly walked in here,” said the ex-President of Georgia.

Therefore, according to him, words that had certain calls for assault are not true.

“We called on the international community to investigate who were the provocateurs who threw firecrackers who called people to the assault. Most of those people were in the Balaclava and, as I understand it, none of them is detained. I want these people to be punished”, – summarized ex-the head of the Odessa regional state administration.
