The next step should be deokkupatsii of the Crimea – Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine commented on the adoption of the UN resolution on the Peninsula

The foreign Ministry of Ukraine welcomes the adoption by the UN General Assembly the resolution on human rights violations in Crimea and says that the next step should be to de-occupation of the Peninsula.

This is stated in the message on the Ministry’s website.

“The broad support for our position in the Crimea is evidence that the international community has sent a clear message to the Russian occupation authorities – the issue of Crimea is not closed, the world is closely watching the actions of the occupier and therefore responsible for the harassment and violations of rights of the Crimean people who will be responsible. The aggressor must stop in the temporarily occupied territory of lawlessness and to enforce international law… the Next step should be deokkupatsii Peninsula. The Foundation has been laid,” – said in the message.

The resolution is aimed at preventing impunity for crimes committed in the occupied Peninsula, explains the foreign Ministry of Ukraine. In particular, condemns the occupation of the Crimea, the illegal imposition of its laws and administration in the Crimea by the Russian Federation, the forcible transfer of the population from Ukrainian to Russian citizenship. The document calls on Russia to immediately stop arrests and discrimination, which previously received messages.
