The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko has responded to the demand of the Minister of Finance Alexander Danilyuk to send him into retirement.
He stated LB.ua.
“Consider his statement as banal desire to avoid criminal responsibility”, – said Yuri Lutsenko.
The attorney General said that he had already appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers with a demand to dismiss danyluk after the State fiscal service carried out an inspection and confirmed the non-payment Danyluk 700 thousand hryvnias of taxes.
“Taxes Danilyuk need to either pay up or sit down” – said Lutsenko.
Separately, the attorney General explained why the PGO instituted criminal proceedings against the current leadership of “PrivatBank”.
According to Lutsenko, people’s Deputy Alexander Dubinin in September-November, submitted to the GPU and NABOO statements about illegal activities of the state “PrivatBank” during the signing of agreements with Kroll and other companies.
“Not to record the statements prohibited by law. NABOO has registered two cases, we – additional episodes to the current matters concerning the Private. Investigators took permission for the seizure of these contracts in NBU and Private. But as a result of the testimony of the Deputy Chairman of the national Bank Ekaterina Rozhkova and analysis of the law “On national Bank” we’ve established that article 3 of the law allows the NBU to pay for audit services without tenders. Thus we withdrew the resolution and shut down these episodes. Similar cases of NABOO is still hanging in the registry”, – summed up Lutsenko.
We will remind, the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Alexander danyluk demands the immediate resignation of the General Prosecutor of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko. In addition, he accused the Prosecutor-General allegedly delaying the process of investigating possible abuse by former owners and top-managers of “PrivatBank”.
