The EU Council extended sanctions against Russia – Poroshenko

The European Union decided to extend until 31 July 2018 economic sanctions against Russia for its aggression against Ukraine.

“I welcome the EU Council decision to extend economic sanctions against Russia until July 31, 2018 as a symbol of sustainable transatlantic unity and solidarity with Ukraine. In combination with the Crimean resolution of the UN General Assembly, upon the decision of the United States and Canada regarding the possibility of providing Ukraine with lethal defensive weapons, the international front against the Russian aggressor grows stronger. An adequate response to the Kremlin for the escalation of the conflict and the purposeful undermining the Minsk agreement”, – wrote in Facebook President Petro Poroshenko.

Earlier it was reported that due to sanctions from Russia “ran” for 10 billions of dollars more capital than expected.
