The head of the Supervisory Board of the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, the newly formed Ukrainian government, became a British citizen Claire Spottiswoode.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman.
Groisman has promised to reform “Naftogaz” following statements by the independent members of the Supervisory Board resignation
“Congratulations to the newly elected head Clare Spottiswoode, which was responsible for the creation of a gas market in the UK. The creation of a gas market in Ukraine is goal of our Government. We are confidently moving forward!”, – he wrote in Facebook the evening of December 22.
The edition RBC-Ukraine, citing its own sources reported that Deputy Spottiswoode was elected Vladimir Demchishin, the Minister of energy in the government of Yatsenyuk 2014-2016.

Videotekhniki, the Tribunal rejected the claim of “Gazprom” to “Naftogaz” tens of billions of dollars
The Russian monopolist was trying to recover from the Ukraine tens of billions of dollars of lost profits under the contract on gas supplies, signed in 2009. The court rejected the requirement to pay 56 billion dollars in bonded condition of the contract “take or pay” for the last 8 years. Naftogaz hopes to win a lawsuit and force Gazprom to pay for gas transit Ukraine $ 16 billion.
We will remind, in the spring of this year, three independent members of the Supervisory Board of “Naftogaz” Charles Proctor, Marcus Richards and Paul Warwick wrote to the government warning about a possible departure in the absence of progress in solving the chronic problems of the NAC. The same statement was signed by Yulia Kovaliv, who then held the post of head of the Supervisory Board of “Naftogaz”. 3 APR Kuznetsov wrote a statement of termination of their powers as members of the Supervisory Board of the company on their own.
Charles Proctor at the beginning of September announced that he will leave the company on 30 September. 19 September, the independent members of the Supervisory Board Paul Warwick and Marcus Richards has decided to retire.
