Klimkin has questioned the legitimacy of future presidential elections in Russia

The legitimacy of the forthcoming elections of the President of Russia is dubious because of the attempt to organize them on the territory of the occupied Crimea.

This was stated by the head of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin.

Videomemory of the President of Russia was moved to the anniversary of the annexation of Crimea

In Russia starts great political theater. Presidential election campaign started officially. In favor of the new image of Vladimir Putin even changed the date of the election. Stations were supposed to open March 11, but it will happen a week later, the 18th – the anniversary of the annexation of Crimea. Because Putin sees himself not as a fighter against terrorism in Chechnya, and not the sex symbol of Russia, and a collector of land.

“The attempt to organize the elections on the territory of the occupied Crimea makes them very questionable from the point of view of their legitimacy,” he said.

In the opinion of Klimkin, Russia deliberately set a date for presidential elections on the anniversary of the annexation of Crimea.

“Russia has postponed the date of their elections on the anniversary of the illegal referendum held in Crimea – it was a deliberate step,” – said the Minister.

We will remind, the Federation Council announced the appointment of presidential elections of Russia on March 18, 2018. Earlier it was reported that the elections were to be held on March 11. But later the state Duma has proposed to postpone the vote for a week so that it coincides with the anniversary of the annexation of Crimea.
