Militants block the movement of the OSCE mission and endanger observers

With the beginning of 2018, the SMM, the OSCE continues to identify cases of threats, restriction of access to military sites and the freedom of movement of its patrols on the temporarily uncontrolled by the Ukrainian government territory. “Populists of the ORDO/ORLO mimic violent activity, issuing for the last 6 months for the second “order” on the prohibition of unwarranted restriction of freedom of movement of SMM monitors of the OSCE. Of impudence such actions makes that after the publication of the previous “order” at the end of August 2017, the number of such restrictions has not decreased, but even increased. So, for example, for the first month of his “actions” SMM OSCE has recorded 46 cases of such violations”, – stated in the message.

The Ukrainian side says that the part of the leaders of the militants is heard only populism and no real steps to stabilize the situation. However, despite the obstacles, the OSCE continues to record violations of the cease-fire. So in the report dated 5 January the SMM, the OSCE has reflected the 150 explosions in the area of ATO, the destruction of civilian objects, military equipment, located with a violation of the withdrawal of weapons, and the like.
