During bulk purchase of diesel fuel “Ukrzaliznytsya” has saved 200 million UAH.

“Uz” is one of the largest consumers of diesel fuel in Ukraine. The company annually buys about 350 thousand tons. Therefore, it is crucial to get these products at the lowest possible prices. Now we purchase diesel in on average 7% cheaper than market price. This price allows you to save money,” – said Kravtsov.
Autumn and winter of last year the company bought diesel fuel at 21671 – 25368 UAH per ton. The minimum price of diesel fuel in the period amounted to 21800 – 27880 UAH per ton, according to “Consulting group A-95”.

“In the coming days there will be shipments under existing contracts, and his stock will increase to 12 thousand tons. In addition, in 2018 the “Ukrzaliznytsya” has signed the contract on 10 thousand tons each. To ensure the supply of fuel for a longer period and procurement of large quantities of fuel, the company should carry out this procedure using the formula of calculation of the value with reference to the figures Platts,” – said Kravtsov.
The auction formula-based calculation of the cost of diesel fuel purchase 60 thousand tons of fuel was announced on 23 November 2017.
“Unfortunately, they were blocked by a complaint to the Antimonopoly Committee. Such a procedure would give the ability to change the purchase price of the diesel fuel, given the price quotations Platts and exchange rates. So, depending on fluctuations in the market price of the contract may increase or decrease according to the formula with the use of the index changes in the indices of Platts. Shortly we will have results of consideration of the appeal the AMC,” said Kravtsov.
Earlier Ukrzaliznytsia also said when they will open the movement of trains through the tunnel in the Carpathians.
