Ukrainian politicians reacted strongly to Putin’s statement about the return of military equipment from the Crimea
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready to return to Ukraine the military ships and aircraft, which remained in the annexed Crimea. At the same time in Kiev reacted sharply to this statement and require the return of not only technology, but also of the whole Crimea, as well as compensation for damages during the occupation.
“Bandit, who already feels his vile soul to the inevitability of the international court of justice and just punishment for his crimes, still can not stop in his attempts to humiliate Ukraine. And will end with the fact that simultaneously with the return of the Crimea, Russia will compensate Ukraine for the disastrous consequences of temporary occupation of the Crimea and unleashed in the East Ukraine war. So it will be! Just so you know, take a stand and take back Crimea, Donbass, free citizens!”, – wrote in Facebook, the Chairman of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Deputy Refat Chubarov.

First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko stressed that “the Crimea in vehicles do not sell, rent, or replaceable. Yes, that is our ships, stolen by Putin. Brought to an awful state, as well as the Crimea occupation. Everything it touches “Russian world”, is in disrepair. We will refund the Crimea and the entire Ukrainian property there, including ships. As Donbass”.
Recall that after the annexation of Crimea 2014, the year Russia began to transfer Ukraine captured equipment. However, after the invasion of the Donbass such transfer was suspended. 15 APR 2014 the then Deputy defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said that he had suspended the transfer to Ukraine of arms and military equipment from the Crimea. At the time it was passed 389 units of armored vehicles, including eight helicopters and three warships. This writes UNIAN. On 5 July the Russian foreign Ministry said that Russia stopped the transfer to Ukraine arms and equipment from the Crimea to “complete cessation of the Ukrainian security forces fighting.”
Today in the Crimea there were 17 ships, boats and vessels, including 11 warships, including a large landing ship “Konstantin Olshansky”, ship control “Slavutich” antisubmarine corvettes “Ternopil” and “Lutsk”, a minesweeper “Cherkasy” and “Chernigov”, a large submarine “Zaporozhye”, rescue tug “Kremenets” and others.
