Disabled immigrants increased state aid for accommodation

Now disabled migrants from Donbass and Crimea will pay large sums for the reimbursement of accommodation costs.

A decree adopted by the Cabinet at its meeting, reports “Interfax-Ukraine”.

In particular, the amount of monthly assistance for pensioners and children for housing and utilities increased from 884 UAH to 1 million UAH.

The Cabinet also changed the maximum amount of family allowance, which previously was 2.4 thousand UAH (3.4 thousand UAH for families with people with disabilities). Now the total amount of assistance for a family may not exceed 3 thousand UAH, for families with people with disabilities – 3,4 thousand UAH, and for families with many children – 5 thousand UAH.

“We are preparing a draft regulation on the procedure of granting subsidies, which we simplify the access of internally displaced persons to obtain subsidies, when we can assign them on the basis of a Declaration by them of the whole family that is in need of subsidies, that is, without registration and without the lease of the premises,” said Minister of social policy Andrei Reva.

Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet may allow migrants to obtain grants without a lease.
