The law on the reintegration of Donbass demonstrates the true state of things – the occupation of part of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.

“It is a daily violation of the silence and the constant shelling of Ukrainian settlements and military positions, killing our soldiers and civilians negates the Minsk agreement, and not the law of reintegration,” added Gerashchenko.
According to her, the Minsk agreements are recorded in other legislative acts adopted by the Parliament, in particular, it progolosuvav in the first reading amendments to the Constitution and the law on local self-government in certain districts voted in September 2014, March 2015 and prolonged in October 2017, and the Amnesty law from September 2014.

The “law on reintegration not only captures the reality of the occupation, introduces a specific international terminology, such as “effective control”, but also aimed at solving humanitarian issues, and thus – a priori not distracting from the logic of peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbass”, – summed up Gerashchenko.

As previously reported, on Thursday, January 18, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on de-occupation of Donbass “On peculiarities of state policy on ensuring state sovereignty of Ukraine on the temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.” Before that, the deputies two days was considered about 600 edits to the document. It officially recognizes Russia as an aggressor.
In turn, the leader “DNR” Alexander Zakharchenko said that the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of the law on de-occupation of Donbass will result in the escalation of the armed conflict.
