Ukraine’s state debt exceeded two trillion hryvnia
Ukraine continues to live in debt and constantly increases it. In January-November 2017, it rose by 132 billion (6.8%) and reached 2 trillion 52 billion UAH.
The total public and publicly guaranteed debt in dollar terms grew by 7.5% (5.36 billion dollars) – up to 76,33 billion. Such data are the Ministry of Finance, reports UNIAN.
Recall that the total public and publicly guaranteed debt of Ukraine in 2016, rose by 8.3% in dollar terms – to 70.97 billion in the hryvnia equivalent of 22.7% to 1,930 trillion UAH, which corresponds to the limits of the annual budget. Given estimates of nominal GDP of Ukraine for the year 2016, released by the national Bank, at the level of 2,358 trillion UAH, the rate of public debt at the end of 2016 amounts to 81.8% of GDP.
The state budget of Ukraine for 2017 provided for limiting the level of public and publicly guaranteed debt at the year end in the amount of 2,296 trillion UAH.
Earlier in the NBU reported that Ukraine will have to annually give $ 7 billion of debt.
