Investigators of Russia opened a case on the Ukrainian military for the shelling of the bus in a “grey zone” in the Donbass

Russian investigators have opened two criminal cases against the military Armed forces of Ukraine and National guard of Ukraine for what they allegedly fired at the bus near the village of olenivka in the Donbas and militants occupied the city Dokuchaevsk.

This was reported in the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

“21 January 2018 as the result of deliberate shelling of a passenger bus, which was before the checkpoint of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s Republic “olenivka” in the area of the village, died a peaceful citizen, born in 1960, who does not take part in armed conflict, the man born in 1956, received a gunshot wound… There is every reason to believe that it was the targeting bus with civilians that was fired from automatic firearms of the Armed forces of Ukraine and National guard of Ukraine, which follow orders from higher officials in violation of the Protocol on the termination of the use of weapons in the South-East of Ukraine (Minsk, 05.09.2014) and the Memorandum (Minsk, 19.09.2014), as well as the provisions of the Convention on the protection of civilian persons in time of war (Geneva, 12.08.1949) and Additional Protocol II thereto,” – said the Russian investigation.

In addition to the Russian claim that the Ukrainian military allegedly committed “sighting artillery fire from heavy weapons, which have high amazing properties, according to the civilian infrastructure which are not military objectives, in the town of Dokuchaevsk”.

Note, according to militants in the occupied city as a result of shelling injured five civilians, including three women.

“The characteristic handwriting of crimes, resulted in the deaths of people who do not want to recognize the legitimacy of the current government in Ukraine, and other data obtained by the investigation, formed the basis for excitation of two criminal cases against the yet unidentified persons from among soldiers of the Armed forces of Ukraine and National guard of Ukraine . They are suspected of committing crimes under part 1 of article 356 of the criminal code (Use of prohibited means and methods of warfare)”, – added in the RF IC.

We will remind, earlier SK the Russian Federation has accused the Ukrainian Colonel of the APU in the intentional shelling of Rovenky of “Tochka-U”. Russian investigators have once again laid the blame for the deaths on the Ukrainian army.
